Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Another one bites the dust . . .
Another week, well almost another month - yikes, where does the time go?
It's still really gloomy around these parts, and I'm getting a little anxious for some beach time!
I'm longing for it actually . . .
But soon enough it will be in the 90's and the a/c bill will be out of control, in April!
So for now, I guess I'm going to embrace the gray days so that when the sun does shine it will be just that much sweeter. Oh who am I kidding, I'm not doing very well at embracing this weather and I'm feeling
vitamin D deficient! I think a trip to the tropics is in order?

Okay . . .  ready, set, go!

1. Crossed: The bridge you cross when you get to it?

2. A Glimpse: I was enjoying the aroma of pink jasmine when I got a glimpse of this woman through the vine - oh and I may have had a glimpse of the sun for a few seconds as well!

3. Handwritten: A couple of postcards from my grandmothers side dated August 18, 1918, one a picture of a relative that did not make it back from WWI.

4. Bliss: I'm thinking that the flower to the bee is nothing short of pure bliss!!

5. Gray: Is it gray or grey? Well both are correct, but in America it's grAy and in England is grEy. Either way if we're talking skies they are both, dull, dreary, dismal and gloomy. . . and monotonous when it's day after day after day. It did make for some nice tones though and perfect for making into sepia!

Until the next hunt -
Love, Kim
XO

I LOVE that bee shot and something about your glimpse shot really draws me in! Lovely set! (I always spelt it grEy...but I recently found out I wasn't supposed to; must be all that British Lit I read!)

Glimpse is divine. Wonderful set. And yes grey, gray had me wondering too :)

Really lovely set this week, Kim. So hard to pick a favourite, but because I i am deep into genealogy your handwriting shot warms my heart. The glimpse is a very close second.

Love that glimpse shot - so pretty. And it's definitely 'grey' here in England, if we'd ever written 'gray' at school it would have been marked as a spelling mistake - to me it just looks completely wrong when I see it written with an 'a' :O))

Well done on this week's hunt. I like how you pulled from your grandmother's archives for 'handwritten'.

I love the glimpse and handwritten shots. Military history is one of our passions around here. In fact, we just finished studying WWI in history.

Love all of these, but that last one is really nice. Do you know what kind of bird that is?

What beautiful captures! I especially love your glimpse photo...and the handwritten image draws me in. I'm always so curious about the lives of people in old images; there are so many stories there. Thank you for sharing!

Nice job on the hunt. The handwritten one is my favorite. Didn't our grandparents generation have such beautiful handwriting?

I totally love those shadows on your bridge shot. But my FAV is your "glimpse" and that gorgeous DOF and how she is perfectly framed with the jasmine flowers and buds. Simply de-vine (no pun intended!!

your photos are incredible. Although I loved the shot of the bee, I have to say the handwritten note & photo touched my heart. I love fountain pens.

Beautiful set Kim, all so lovely! I love the history with Handwritten, so sad but so beautiful! Glimpse is gorgeous!

Beautiful. The Handwritten is my fave, I think because I used to teach American History and I enjoyed giving the human side to the story.
