Bridge to nowhere?

I should probably clarify right off the bat . . . this has nothing to do with politics!

"People gather bundles of sticks to build bridges they never cross"

- Unknown

I have good intentions, really. But good intentions don't produce results.
Are you like me and have gathered those bundles of sticks to build a bridge that you had
every intention of crossing yet still remain on the other side?

{Textured with Kim Klassen's new textures KKred and sunkissed both in overlay}

I have several bridges, that I seem to never cross. It seems I know how to build them,
just not how to cross them. I think sometimes the fear of not being prepared enough keeps
me from crossing. But . . . my goals, dreams and desires are on that other side.

It seems that the biggest effort isn't in building the bridge, but in taking the final journey over it.
Join me today over at Focusing on Life where I have found a little inspiration.
Where I'm talking about turning up the heat from 211 to 212 degrees...to get us over that bridge!!
Because we built the bridge to go somewhere.
Love, Kim
XO

Love that shot Kim, and..... cross over that bridge. When ever i manage to cross a bridge in my life, once I am over, i always wonder what the fuss was...

Thoughtful words and a beautiful photo...ah yes, crossing that bridge can be so difficult. You'd think it would be easy especially when you can so clearly see the other side...!

I'll take your hand and we will walk it together.

Beautiful post! I love that there is an open gate at the entrance to the bridge inviting us to go!

Such a thought-provoking post, Kim. I have to say I have built many bridges, crossed them, only to find no reward. But that doesn't stop me from trying again... xo

I'm with @Linda R.

This one got me to thinkin' Perhaps its directed to me. I have bundles and bridges and on ramps and even, plans on what to do on the other side, but I don't cross. Why? Fear of failure? Not feeling prepared enough? Yeah I'm a thinkin' Perhaps I should stop thinkin' and start crossin'

Make that journey, life is too short not to go for it.

Great reminder about the importance of both building and crossing.

I adore the soft, whimsical feel of this image! I agree, sometimes walking over the bridge you have built is the hardest part!!

Gorgeous shot and love how you can't quite see what's going to be on the other side. I do believe that sometimes you build it and realize it's not worth crossing over or things have changed on one side or the other and it's okay. It's those bridges that haunt you to cross that are worth the extra effort. Too bad that so many have to be walked over alone.

Such a poignant post . . . I'm sure we all have bridges built but uncrossed.
