I have a 'Pocketful of Sunshine' . . .

"Take me away, a secret place
A sweet escape, take me away . . . "

- Pocketful of Sunshine , Natasha Bedingfield

Yep, this space...
feels like a secret place, early upon the dawn
at the first sign of life
when the darkness turns to light,
and out of blindness comes sight.

As you are reading this,
I AM here,
with friends,
braving the cold
not just because I can
but because I have to

this place IS my stillness
my peace
my calm...

my sweet escape from the chaos of life
my center in the unevenness

in this space everything is right
everything is good, and sooo many possibilities exist

{KK 411 & 99}

THIS, is my pocketful of sunshine
that I carry around in my soul.

So thankful for this!

Love, Kim

Definitely worth braving the cold for these views! Every image is breathtaking and they remind me of the beauty that exists in a world where I am sometimes overwhelmed. The last photo is my favorite - the texture is the perfect enhancement.

Such beauty at the waters edge... What is it about the ocean that give us peace and stillness? Whatever it is I wish you could bottle some and send it to Ohio. :)

This IS a beautiful space, Kim, where you can find peace within and calm down, get still. No matter the cold. It's so important to rest your soul and have a place for that.

These shots are just incredible. You certainly have a beautiful and peaceful place to retreat when life gets overwhelming or when you just need time to ponder.

Oh, Kim, these are all so peaceful. The sun shining through the wings - makes me think of the view we might have nestled safely in His arms. Psalm 61 Blessings.

These shots are beautiful! It has been three years since we saw the ocean. Looking at these photos almost gives me the ability to taste the salt water, feel the sand, hear the gulls. Nice feeling tonight. It is 9 degrees here.
