Good morning peeps, happy Tuesday with a little texture.
Today Kim asked us to show her a little "pop" of color and this is my interpretation . . .
{Kim Klassen Takeheart in hardlight}
I chose this one because, well, it has a soft focus and that's me in a nutshell today. Okay, I may be a lot out of focus today . . . a lack of sleep in a few days time {to no fault of my own} sort of causes predicaments like this. I took this over the weekend as my hubby and I walked my favorite nursery, doing a little research on fruit trees. I think this is the year we are finally going to take the plunge. This image is of a blossom from the Meyer Lemon tree and wow does it ever smell good!
I'm not very wordy here today and that's because I already used up a bunch and I would love for you to visit me over here today on Kim Cunningham's Little by Little blog as a guest poster where I'm asking what if any have you learned about yourself through photography and over at my collaborative blog Focusing on Life where I'm sharing some thoughts about how learning to use our cameras can make us a little foggy.
If you are new here, Focusing on Life is a collaborative blog between 10 women in different stages of life where our goal is to create a community and a place where we can inspire, teach, nurture, support and accept each other; a place where we can grow in our craft and as individuals and we would love to have you join us and let us know that you were there!
Love, Kim
XO

ANother one of your fabulous flower shots Kim. Just superb. I was so glad to find out what a Meyer Lemon blossom looked like. I am such a fan and of course we don't have them in Canada. But now I'm in Florida and can look for them...
Awesome shot! Loved the post on (other) Kims blog too!
PERFECT! Have a lovely Tuesday - Tanya
Beautiful image......I'm feeling a bit out of focus myself.
So pretty Kim.
I love the softness here! The processing is perfect and ... a pop of yellow. Lovely!
it gives me dreaming feel and softness and yet it pops.. love this photo..
Hugs
What a sweet photo...that sunshine yellow brightens up my day. And you're the second person who has mentioned a Meyer lemon tree to me today! Lack of sleep always affects my focus...I hope you get some good sleep soon!
Lovely work as always, Kim. Really enjoyed both of your other posts as well. Happy Tuesday!

Dreamy and vibrant at the same time - hard to do but you have done it beautifully.
Beautiful!!! <3
Very pretty, I like the soft colours of the background.
You won't regret taking on fruit trees, Kim. Promise. Beautiful submission BTW...
Gorgeous texture work. For me, this looks amazingly like spring - when I'm stuck in the middle of winter. Thanks for that jolt of springtime sights and scents.
This is a "wow"picture. I like the softness in it and I don't cre a bit that it is unfocused - I don't think it really is as the eye is drawn to the yellow of the blossom. Very beautiful.
Your interpretation of the assignment is marvelous. Love the colors and slightly soft edges.
Amazing image! I enjoyed both of your other posts!

I love how the yellow pops in front of the busy bee. Beautiful photo!

Love the soft focus! Beautiful work!
Such a beautiful macro shot. I've been to your other blog and read about each of the "collaborators" and visited their blogs. What inspiration these women have given me. Thinking about taking some classes from Tracey.....reasonably priced and self-paced. Thanks for all the resources :)
So lovely, beautifully textured!
