Dear soon to be Queen Butterfly,
I think it's kinda cool that you have three different color versions of your bad self,
but this pink version is the bomb! I can't remember when you pupated but in less than a week
we will finally get to meet....I am beyond excited! (you'll be my first Queen)
Dear football,
I sure do love being on the sidelines, but I do have a tendency to get a bit distracted at that golden hour when the lens flare lines up just right!!
(from my instagram feed)
Dear George,
(he's my hair guru guy), that's some pretty incredible Deva Curl Ultra Defining Gel to give my straight hair soft waves. Oh yeah, I got re-pinkified too...yep it's real, and the reason I say this is because I often get stopped and asked that very question as opposed to chalk, which I guess is not permanent and washes out.
Dear Crazy Ants,
How on earth, in the few hours I was gone to get my hair done, did you find your way into the house and into the pantry, on every shelf I may add, and into everything that wasn't sealed? I'm sorry, but I don't like you very much, our cupboard is now bare.
Dear Geckos,
Can we talk, 'cause I'm afraid you don't understand, I do like you, just not in the house, pooping on the dining room table and certainly not making babies on my kitchen floor at 3 A.M. One adult and two babies this week....Can you move your nursery outside please???
Dear Calendar,
15 more sleeps til my girl comes home for the weekend!!
Oh, and Dear Weather,
I would really appreciate if you would cooperate and not rain for the Balloon Fest this weekend, I missed it
last year because of the pouring rain...it was very disappointing!
Happy weekending to all,
Love, Kim

Happy Weekend Kim-Love your hair! How exciting your first queen Kathy
ReplyDeleteVery impressive cocoon photo.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that you and The Queen chose pink! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the hair great colour...
ReplyDeletelove all of these and can't wait to see that QUEEN! Love your hair and think this is such a great selfie, and now it is only 14 days till your daughter comes home for the weekend. Enjoy, as she will soon be very "caught up" in school activities!
ReplyDeleteohhhh i'm on pins and needles for that Queen. That chrysalis is so amazing! I hear ya on those ants. It happens fast...I do put everything in ziplocks. One year, right before a holiday party...BOOM...ant explosion. Frankie worked tirelessly to seal as many "portals" as we can find. We have some pretty high grade ant killer now...we havent had a problem since. Funny letter to the geckos! LOVE LOVE LOVE your hair! hope the weather cooperates for the Balloon Fest!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to that Queen ... and hoping for the Balloon Festival right along with you so I get to see your photos!
ReplyDeleteYou are one sexy mama in this new hairdo...major love♥ As for the geckos...I hear you...same mating problem in Florida...sigh.
ReplyDeleteThat chrysalis is so so amazing! My son counts down to events by "sleeps" too :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so gorgeous, Miss Kim! And I am beyond excited to see your new Queen! Enjoy the day. Erin
ReplyDeleteOH can't wait to see the shots of the butterfly. Football shot is awesome and such a beautiful selfie too.
ReplyDeleteLove your pinked hair! And all your shots. And since I have a hard time with creepy-crawlies, I would definitely object to supporting a gecko nursery in my house. As well as ants. Hope the unwanted guests know when it is time to leave. Wishing you good weather for the balloon fest.
ReplyDeleteAnxiously awaiting the Queen! Great shots of course.
ReplyDeleteYour shots are fantastic and your post was even better! I couldn't stop laughing when I read about the gecko's having to move their nursery outside! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your hair.. You look fabulous my friend. Once again such a wonderful post..
ReplyDeleteHugs~
amazing chrysalis! My husband would KILL me if I dyed my hair pink - although I am red - so I guess I am already pretty close!
ReplyDeleteLove the first photo on this post! And love your new pinkalicious hair too!
ReplyDeleteBut ants & geckos in house?! Not so much.
That chrysalis is stunning and the lighting over those footballs? hello amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat first capture is a treasure Kim!
ReplyDeleteYou are just a nature whisper so in awe of you and what you can do, Can't wait to see your Queen.
ReplyDeleteLove the set-up of your blog letters...sorry you had ants, they are the worst! My post: http://lauriekazmierczak.com/bean-there/
ReplyDeletelove your hair. can't wait to see the queen ... her chrysalis is amazing. love the football shot. i know you'll be happy to see your girl. the geckos need to do something about the ants if they are going to stick around. good luck talking to the weather spirits! have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your hair!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what comes from that cocoon. The pink hair is awesome--wish I was sassy enough to pull it off. :)
ReplyDeleteOh that chrysalis is so pretty, loving the shade of pink. Can't wait to see your Queen.
ReplyDeletePink is certainly in and you rock the hair. Not something I'd do but I think it's fun on other people.
Ants are not our friends either. We've had a horrible time with them this year. Just can't see to get rid of the pesky things.
Hello lovely haired girl! Don't talk to me about ants. Yesterday I made myself a steamed vanilla milk after being in England for over two months, reached for the (very expensive)Starbucks vanilla syrup and got completely grossed out at the hundreds of ants who decided to end it all in my syrup over the summer! (You'd think some creatures had more to live for) I don't have geckos in the Pacific Northwest, or in England, but don't talk to me about late summer spiders.
ReplyDeleteGreat that you and the Queen are both in the pink! I've never heard of curl defining gel. Are you saying those curls aren't yours? I must ask my stylist about this! Too cold in my world for either Geckos or ants - thank goodness. Hope you have a clear, calm weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove your hair! Enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove your selfie and hair Kim! Thanks for sharing at R5F. :)
ReplyDelete"Pink Perfection"....yes, that is you!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots!!!
