"Our egos tell us we're the only ones that have an kind of feelings. We're the only ones with a
relationship. We're the only ones with family. You know, I think that if you kill a spider, there is a
relationship that you're ruining. There's a conversation going on outside with the other spiders.
'Did you hear about Chris?....Killed yeah....Sneaker. And now Stephanie has nine hundred babies
to raise all alone. Well, she's got her legs full I'll tell you that right now. Chris was so kind, wouldn't
hurt a fly. It's just been tough for them lately. They just lost their web last week. Those humans think
they're so smart. Let them try shooting silk out of their butt and see what they can make.'"
You know, I never know for sure what I'm going to share with you here, and especially lately.
Not because I'm not out with my camera, but because I AM out with my camera.
I am so behind in sharing some of my happenings and things I find, that when I go to my hard drive
it is so overwhelming. I'm still trying to catch up editing ALL these images as it seems I take them faster
that I can edit.
I might have an obsession....
It could be worse, right . . I could be charging my card at a department store rather than on my camera, at the nursery, the sunrise, the beach, my garden . . .
(You are welcome honey)
Gosh, I sure hope he is keeping track and that my points are adding up.
Anyway, I was looking for a quote and came across this one that had me laughing out loud,
and well, I sure do have me some spidy web photos.
I can only imagine the things they are saying about me and my spray bottle!
Have yourself a wonderful day!
Love, Kim
Super cool perspective.
ReplyDeleteI'm right after you at Kim's. Totally stunning photo!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I killed a big spider this morning that ran out of the woodpile and now I feel horrible. Lol. Not really -- but you made me think.
ReplyDeleteYep, I keep telling my husband there's lots worse I could be doing. :)
I LOVE your spidy web! The perspective and water droplets are fabulous. My family makes fun of me because I trap spiders in the house and take them outside. :-)
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Tuesday Muse.
You have make a beautiful spider web photo!
ReplyDeleteGreetings, RW & SK
Love the angel you took for this spider web!
ReplyDeleteFantastic web shot, I haven't managed to get any good ones lately . . . and I love that whole dialogue at the beginning.
ReplyDeleteI love this image! So delicate. What a wonderful capture.
ReplyDeleteIncredible image of a spider web!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool! :)
ReplyDeleteDying! Oh my goodness that is so hilarious. And, I don't know how you capture such amazing nature shots. The web is gorgeous, gorgeous! I'm always inspired by what you capture.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! But that spider web ... that is a serious web and you photographed it beautifully. Perfect light, perfect droplets. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! And very funny thoughts about Chris & Stephanie :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazingly gorgeous image - with that curving, delicate web, strung with diamonds. Amazing perspective.
ReplyDeleteOMG...I just snorted reading that quote! When I think of how many families I've ruined!! (Technically, my husband has ruined them. I'm scared of those hairy little critters) Please keep toting your spray bottle. That photo is stunning!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks about the insects and their families! If I knock one off a leaf trying to photograph it I feel terrible. But alone in the bathroom with a spider....sorry...gotta go down the drain somehow. Love your image!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture, really love the detail in the water drops.
ReplyDeletePaul.
That's a wonderful angle on the photo. Your thoughts about spiders make me chuckle. If I find one in the house, I put it on a paper or something and carry it outside and tell it to enjoy it's new home in the yard. My husband thinks I'm a bit crazy :)
ReplyDeleteThat is some serious webbing and I love your story of the poor spider family. Unless they are too close for comfort in the house, I generally move along and leave them to their business.
ReplyDeleteNow snakes - that is a whole different story - if they are on my property, there is a good chance I will have to chop them. Ugh! don't like snakes at all. at all!
We never know what's going on in the lives of those around us. Great perspective.
ReplyDeleteThis is seriously too cool. Love all of the details.
ReplyDeleteGreat perspective...
ReplyDeleteYour quote made me smile...and what a beautiful spider web!
ReplyDeleteThat web is amazing! Wow!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image, Kim. Thanks for reminding me about carrying a spray bottle. You had mentioned it before and I thought, "Great idea." and promptly forgot! Love the quote! I must confess, I'm more apt to put them back outside than kill them. The Secret of NIMH really stuck with me from childhood :)
ReplyDeleteYou have me smiling once again. Loving your photo my friend.
ReplyDeleteHugs~
This shot is gorgeous!! I love it! Wonder what kind of local spidey-gossip you inspired while they were watching you ;)
ReplyDeleteHehe ... I wonder what they are thinking. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot of the web.
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, Kim! I love the perspective on the web.
ReplyDeleteYour shot is magical with all those sparkling drops. You chosen a wonderful POV!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job here out with your spray bottle! I can definitely relate about taking so many shots. I have nearly filled up my computer... that is not good. Talk about a fun obsession though. Bet you are looking forward to the holidays with your daughter home for a break!
ReplyDeleteEverything about this made me smile, Kim.
