"Life is too short," she panicked, "I want more." He nodded slowly,
"Wake up earlier." - Dr. SunWolf
I've really never been a particularly natural early riser, you know without an alarm, however I do quite enjoy setting my alarm for this. . . .I hope you aren't tired of sunrises yet!
1. At some point the sunrise time started going backwards, getting earlier. Just a few weeks ago I remember it being at 7:19, tomorrow it will be 7:09. So by the time we 'spring ahead' on March 9th, the sunrise time here at my spot will be at 6:35. But I don't think they take into account that we turn our clocks ahead so will it really be 7:35? Hmmmm. This sunrise was on Sunday and this shot was with my 50mm lens and I had a little fun with slow shutter speed and camera movement (I'll share those later).
2. I wonder . . . you know that saying what a difference a day makes? Do you think they said because they watched the sun rise two days in a row. . . because what a difference a day makes!! This was on Monday.
3. THIS, is why you never leave right away after the sun rises. Because if you're lucky, someone will show up to go wade fishing and give you a silhouette photo op.
4. Do you think seagulls can smell french fries in your pocket?
5. Why yes, yes they can. And they will bring their friends and relatives. Tip: throw the french fries in front of you not up in the air above you unless you have on hat. Not that I know this from personal experience or anything, but I have keenly observed when others have not been so lucky. ;)
Oh, and this was back at the same spot I started at in the morning. I had gone to the nursery and then to the butterfly garden, which looks terrible since our hard freezes, and then to lunch across the street for fresh shrimp (and french fries).
I hope you have a great weekend and remember, wake up a little bit earlier!
Love, Kim

These excellent photos prove it's worth while to be an early riser.
I am an early riser but not one to want to get out of the house too early though. I like to putter around in the morning. There haven't been any sunrises here in weeks.
Fantastic shots I can never get enough of your sunrise photos keep them coming..
AMAZING shots!
Exquisite stunning photographs that blew me away Kim ;D
I'm an early riser most days and am never ever tired of seeing the sun rise no matter what time of day it occurs.
Thank you so much for sharing...they brought a smile to my face :D
I love both shots of the sunrise. The dark pylons (?) against the sunrise is amazing!
I am an early riser and need to get out to the beaches here to see this - thanks for sharing this true beauty!
Beautiful Pictures!
Beautiful pictures.....just beautiful!
I rose early during my working years and just can't seem to get out of the habit. :)
Would never tire of you sunrise shots. I am going to my cabin soon, and think I will go down to the lake and get some shots.... Now quite like the ocean, but not too shabby either. Love that sillouette shot. Only two more weeks till I come down to your area to see the Whooping Cranes and can't wait!
love the photos of the sun saying "morning" over the bay. You live in a gorgeous part of the country.
These are breathtakingly beautiful.
Love your sunrise and beach shots. No two are ever the same. Love the seagull shots too, they are quite the characters.
Im definitely not an early riser, but these photos may just change my mind! Beautiful sunrises, as no two ever look alike I enjoy seeing them….and the seagulls too! Great action photos, and I love the silhouette! Thanks for sharing :)
gorgeous photos! It is true - I once went to a motivational speaker and the first thing she said "get out of bed early n the morning". I am SO not a morning person - I will stay up all night long - well into the next day getting things done, I'm so backwards.
These are so beautiful! I wish I could be a natural early riser because I agree that there could be so much more done with a day if I did. You have such a way with capturing beauty of creation!
Happy Thursday-Just gorgeous! I never get tired of sunrises
Kathy
I never get tired of your sunrise shots. You have such a beautiful place to catch them.
If I lived near a beach I would be there morning and night to take stock of all that is amazing. Great shots - each one of them.
i luv the dawn; those are some lovely morning skies you shared with us
much love...
Stellar photos!! OMGosh. The colors and silhouettes are truly exquisite.
Some fabulous photos, Kim! Makes my little heart go pitter pat thinking about October. I keep telling myself it will be an hour later than home and I CAN get up that early!
Such a gorgeous sight you´ve captured, love the pics! :-)
Love your fantastic early morning shots. I've come from GYB party. I'm
looking forward to following your blog I'll be back again soon to see more of your older posts.
Your sunrise shots over the water are so wondrous and peaceful and calming - and the type of scene that I don't have a available to me, here in land-locked Ohio. So, it is a special privilege to "get up early" with you and take in such colorful beauty.
What beautiful photography!
Yes, I am an early riser and it is a very special time of the day.
Your photographs really illustrate that.
I am also a Texas blogger and a new follower.
I am off to read more posts!

How could anyone tired of such beauty as you have caught in these photographs...Just awesome....We have definitely benefited from your rising early....I like early in the morning but not much for getting out really early....
love how the sun is peeking on the second photo and the two birds and LOVE the gull close up. What shutter speed are you using for your birds might I ask?
What fun, Kim! I always enjoy mornings with you :)
love the sunset shots especially the second shot. they're both gorgeous!
have a great day.
Beautiful shots and certainly worth getting up early.
What beautiful images, Kim! I can almost hear the seagulls from here.
I adore your sunrise photo's but I am so not an early riser. Now hubby is but you know that old saying about (Early to bed, Early to Rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise)...I think he missed out on atleast one of those things.
I think Seagulls can smell food from miles away. I don't know if you recall my niece's wedding posts but a Seagull dive bombed my great nephew as he was throwing rose petals on the beach. Darn thing thought it was food!
Be still my heart, now would I love to be there, YES YES YES. Oh my that sea gull is super wonderful as well as all of them. Terri told me about your get together in Oct. and must say I am green after seeing these, will have to live through the images to come from you girls.
those are such beautiful photos thank you for sharing
How could we ever tire of your sunrises. Each one is spectacular and different! I rise early but the lay of the land doesn't give me any great sunrises and I'm too lazy to go looking for a great place!
So glad you get up early to take these glorious shots to share with us non-early risers!!
Some great shots of a sunrise.
Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
Nice silhouette shot! And, remember that advice for next time! I don't think I'd want seagulls chasing after me!
Beautiful photos. I am over from the GYB party.
