but to be honest I fell a bit short. The husband was gone all week including
last weekend and sometimes I'm just not so good at the single parent thing!
So without delay, we'll just move on. This is what I had to hunt for this week:
1. Before and After:
This is SOOC and although I like it just the way it is, I decided to see what I could do with it to
make it look a little different.
After: So I gave it a little more of an aged look.
2. Opposing lines: Lines that run in opposition of each other . . . . oh you mean like this?
Well they are opposing lines, offensive and defensive, but not quite what she meant! ; )
It is very subtle, but the the opposing lines are there with the horse's legs
and the wires of the fence.
3. Custom Bokeh: Now this is something that I shouldn't have waited til yesterday morning to do,
knowing we would be gone all afternoon for a football playoff game (oh yeah, we won by the way), and
then to my daughters Region choir performance. We got home late, I was tired, so you get what I got
yesterday morning, the experiment that it was. I learned that cutting a shape out of heavy cardstock
(that was all I had) was probably not as easy as construction paper even with an exacto knife. In fact,
if I had the right size paper punch that would have made it much easier. I also took note that the size of
the cut out is important - mine was too small. But having said that, I'm not completely unhappy with
what I got and I actually got a little fish eye effect!
After my post Friday on perspective with gratitude and my reference to the keyhole, I decided that
would be the shape that I would use. Not only do I have keyhole shaped bokeh, but because my shape
was too small you can even see the keyhole shape in the image.
And some cool mosaic effect on the leaves!
I couldn't decide, so you get both - and both were only slightly cropped and sharpened.
I can't wait to try this again!! I'm already one who loves bokeh, now I will be a bokeh shape shifter!
4. Which pair of shoes should I wear: That can be a dilemma here in Texas as one day it can be 94,
in which I'm barefoot and the next it can be 50 and I might only be in flip flops . . . or a pair of these.
5. Little features: I think my niece has the cutest little features!
Well, that's all folks - hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Love, Kim
