Scavenger Hunt Sunday

As I get older I don't really like to wish my weeks away,
but I'm going to say I'm glad this one is over.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad week, just really, really long!

Besides being long, it was one of the busiest I've had and in fact I
only found my prompts hours ago, and all from home which is not the norm for me.

1. Facial Feature: My soon to be 17 year old daughter and although I did take this at home, I had to pull this from the archives . . . I had planned on using her for this one anyway, but she wasn't feeling well today.

2.Shadow: I almost missed this one by the time we got home today. I had a couple of other ideas, but the sun was low and the shadows on the ground were just too loooooong. So plan "B" was to use the brick on the house, but gosh the sun was faster than we were so it was on to the hallelujah plan. It didn't really float my boat until I added the color. Now I quite like it!

3. Spicy:  Not your typical spicy  . . . but with Valentine's Day around the corner, well . . . I was thinking more on the lines of love and some spicy romance!!

4. Gold:  A heart of gold . . . at first I struggled with this one, I don't have much that is gold around the house and then I had that aha moment! I received the most incredible note that accompanied this beautiful piece of art that a friend sent me this week and I was so incredibly touched!! You should check out more of her art here.

5. Fabric: The fabric of your life . . . today my son played his last middle school basketball game. And although he still has track and 7 on 7 football this spring, this is the last time he will wear the number 22 on a jersey this year. The commercials may have you thinking that the fabric of your life is only made of cotton, but when your life is woven together by many sports it would mean the fabric of your life would have to include some polyester!

I can't wait to see what everyone else came up with - Have a great Sunday!

Love, Kim
XO

  19. Oh Kim...as usual, you blow me away with both the actual shot AND the creativity. I hope your gorgeous daughter is feeling better soon. That second shot of the heart is WHY I think you are so creative! Love it. And I am soooo with you on Polyester being the fabric of MY life too. I'm just glad "I" don't have to wear it :)
